EXPEDITION INTO POSTHUMAN BEING
The exhibition features two series of artworks by Lilia Li-Mi-Yan exploring posthumanism, a concept evolving in 21st-century art and philosophy as the idea that human beings can change, and are already changing through developments in genetic engineering, biohacking, and neuroscience.

POSTHUMAN
In the first series, Lilia Li-mi-yan reimagines the genre of portraiture by integrating artificial intelligence in the creation of facial features. The backgrounds evoke studio lighting, while the poses and expressions of the "models" remain familiar. However, the question arises: are these anthropomorphic structures truly human faces? Can we feel fear, empathy, or love towards them? The artist leaves these inquiries open-ended, empowering viewers to define the contemporary boundaries of humanity.
VISCERALS
In the second series “viscerals” Lilia Li-mi-yan invites viewers to explore the internal structure defining the human body. Through abstract lines and vibrant colors, complex formations reminiscent of internal organs or rib cages emerge. Rather than pursuing functional, ethical, or frightening representations, artificial intelligence aids in a process that allows viewers to see the body anew, as a product of free and boundless creative expression.
