About

Arslonga is an experimental photographer and a CG adept. Arslonga’s primary areas of focus include public art projects, kinetic and light installations, interactive installations, and conceptual and abstract photography enhanced with CG elements. Arslonga combines a background in studio photography with ongoing experimentation in artificial lighting techniques for kinetic and sculptural works. Thanks to a wide spectrum of interests — including geometrical optics, observational astronomy and astrophysics, the psychology of visual perception, cognitive science, philosophy, and the history of contemporary art — Arslonga confidently moves across different contexts, creating artworks at the intersection of diverse topics. The ancient world gave birth to the proximity of creativity and madness. Plato presented "mania" and "patos" not as "sickness, but the greatest blessing". Arslonga engages with the space between the Apollonian and the Dionysian — between tradition and trend, digital and analogue. These works invite us to reconsider the boundaries of what we perceive as normal.
