Joteva interrogates the relationship between physical and virtual spaces by revealing invisible forces, vibrations, and patterns that exist outside of human perception. She is the founder and director of Joteva Studio, an LA-based media art studio working at the intersection of art, science, and technology. The studio collaborates with scientists and engineers working in the fields of medical imaging, neurophysics, and artificial intelligence and uses data-driven simulations, alternative imaging tools (MRI, LIDAR, EEG, satellite data, environmental and biofeedback sensors) to produce image series, immersive installations, and XR projects that aim to expand the viewer’s imagination to include other-than-human perspectives of life.
