About
Sasha Kochetkova is a multidisciplinary artist of Russian origin, living and working in France. Her work has been exhibited in Paris, Rome, Turin, Belgrade, Moscow, and other cities.
The dual nature of Kochetkova’s artistic method is shaped by experience spanning two poles: a strong academic foundation in fine art, acquired at the Moscow State University of Printing Arts (2008) and later at the School of Contemporary Art, Free Workshops (MMOMA, 2017), as well as extensive professional experience in the field of digital products.
In her practice, Kochetkova explores human identity and experience through a technological lens. She rethinks themes of memory, fragility, and existence by constructing contexts shaped by both human and machine logic, working across multiple media, including oil painting, 3D animation, video, and installation.
Awards
In 2025 she became a laureate of the Italian Prisma Art Prize.
Selected exhibitions
Kochetkova has participated in several biennales, including the Moscow International Biennale for Young Art (2016) and the Chuvash Biennale of Contemporary Art (2025). Her first museum solo exhibition took place at the Moscow Museum of Modern Art (MMOMA) in 2016. In 2024, she held her first solo exhibition in Paris.
