About
Alexander Mrohs works intermedially with a digital focus. He is particularly interested in the fragmentary, non-linear narrative forms and the procedural. He works with both found and specially generated material, whereby the assignability loses its unambiguity through editing and recombination. The works develop in a reciprocal relationship to their spatial, situational, and thematic contexts and attempt to both absorb and transform them. The edits take place with the aid of software such as Houdini, Blender and Unity, classical media and programming.
Alexander Mrohs has been working as an independent freelance artist since 10.2020. Born in 1992, he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts Nuremberg from 2013 to 2020, first in the class Hakimi, since 2016 in the class Munding. He is a master student of Professor Michael Munding.
